Do government jobs in Pakistan charge an application fee, and how is it paid?
Not a government website. Always apply on the official site. About Asami
Yes: FPSC, PPSC, SPSC and BPSC charge an application fee, and it is paid only against a PSID (Payment Slip ID) that the commission’s own portal generates when you apply. You pay the PSID through 1Link 1Bill at an ATM, in a mobile or internet banking app, or over the counter at a bank. Never pay a job fee to a person, a phone number or a private account.
What the fee is, in ads we have checked
The fee is printed in each advertisement and can differ by grade and by ad. These are the amounts in the official documents we read; always check the ad you are applying to.
- FPSC: Rs 600 for BS-16 and 17, Rs 1,500 for BS-18, Rs 2,500 for BS-19, Rs 3,000 for BS-20 and above (online application guideline, updated 9 September 2025).
- PPSC: Rs 600 per case, as listed on the PPSC jobs page for Advertisement 11/2026, paid under the GoPb biller.
- SPSC: Rs 1,000 for CCE-2026 (Advertisement 04/2026), paid through the 1Bill invoice option.
- BPSC: Rs 800 for BPS-16 and 17 posts and Rs 600 for BPS-11 posts (Consolidated Advertisement 09/2026).
Four ways to pay
- ATM of a 1Link member bank: Bill Payment, then “1Link 1Bill Invoice/Voucher”, enter the PSID, check the amount, pay and print the slip.
- Mobile banking app or wallet (Easypaisa, JazzCash and bank apps): choose 1Bill invoice/voucher, enter the PSID, pay and save a screenshot.
- Internet banking: the same 1Bill option.
- Over the counter: print the challan with the PSID and ask the cashier to pay it via 1Link 1Bill.
Cautions the commissions repeat
- One PSID per case (FPSC). A PSID stays valid until the advertisement closes.
- The amount is fetched automatically from the PSID. If someone gives you a different amount or an account number, stop.
- Paying does not submit your application. You must finish the form on the portal.
- Fees are not refundable (FPSC, KPPSC).
- Old manual challans, drafts, pay orders and cheques are not accepted (FPSC, PPSC).
Questions
Someone sent me a PSID on WhatsApp. Is it safe?
Only pay a PSID that you generated yourself on the commission’s own website while applying. A PSID sent by a stranger may be for someone else’s bill.
Can I pay a government job fee by Easypaisa or JazzCash?
Yes, if you pay the PSID through the 1Bill invoice/voucher option in the app. PPSC and BPSC name these wallets among their payment channels. Never send money to a wallet number someone gives you.
Is the application fee refundable?
FPSC’s fee guideline says the fee once paid is non-refundable. Check the ad for other bodies.
Can I pay by challan, bank draft or cheque?
Not for FPSC or PPSC: both say they do not accept the old manual challan, bank drafts, pay orders or cheques.
