What the written tests look like

PPSC (Advertisement 11/2026)

Each case says “one paper of MCQ type written test of 100 marks, 90 minutes duration” if a test is held. The split depends on the post:

• Subject only (100%): veterinary posts, PHATA engineering and town planning, Assistant Accounts Officer (accounting, finance and auditing).
• Intelligence Officer, BS-14: about 80% general ability (general knowledge, Pakistan studies, current affairs, Islamic studies, geography, basic maths, English, Urdu, everyday science) and about 20% basic computer studies.
• Tehsil Sports Officer, BS-16: 50% qualification, 50% general ability.
• Assistant Regional Manager, BS-17: about 60% engineering, about 40% general subjects.

SPSC CCE-2026

• A screening test comes first.
• Pass mark 33% (66 marks).
• 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
• The screening test set for 24 October 2026 was postponed; watch spsc.gov.pk for the new date.

BPSC (Advertisement 09/2026)

• An MCQ test in the relevant subject or technology for every post.
• Viva voce for those who qualify: current affairs (last one or two months), general knowledge of Balochistan, Pakistan and the world, Islamic or religious studies, and Pakistan studies from 1857.

KPPSC

KPPSC amended its function rules in July 2025: the passing threshold for the PMS screening test is 50%.
